Partiamo dalla fondazione della band dove, quando e perché?!
LUX: Gli Igel vs. Shark sono stati fondati nel 2009 durante uno spettacolo di un'altra band (non ricordo quale!)

Lux: chitarra e voce, Julia basso e voce e Lucas, batteria.
Come mai? Perché si!
Lukas: Penso anche che la band sia stata fondata perché siamo tutti cresciuti, ascoltando sempre musica ed essendo circondati da altre persone che suonavano nelle band. Era inevitabile!
Che ci dite del vostro ultimo singolo "Dead but alive"? , pensiamo che sia fantastico e meriti di essere ascoltato qui in Italia

LUX: Il singolo “Dead but Alive” tratta di un consumo irragionevole in una società edonistica.
Siamo tutti sottoposti al lavaggio del cervello dalle pubblicità e compriamo merda inutile ogni giorno. Come zombie, stiamo barcollando nelle corsie dei supermercati alla ricerca di nuovi prodotti.
Mangia, bevi, scopa e muori, ripeti.
Qual è l'atmosfera del Rock nel tuo paese, ha molto seguito?
Julia: Penso che il rock non sia così grande in Austria al momento. Sentiamo che i ragazzi sono più interessati alla musica indie e hiphop e così via, il che ovviamente va bene, ma per una band rock 'n' roll come noi è piuttosto difficile, ovviamente, ottenere un po' di attenzione.
Raccontateci del vostro paese e delle vostre origini come musicisti.
Lukas: Ho iniziato a suonare la batteria quando avevo dieci anni grazie a band come Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin e così via. Credo di aver iniziato a suonare nelle band perché lo sono sempre stato davvero impressionato dalla sensazione che provi quando guardi un incredibile esibizione dal vivo .
Julia: Mi sono appassionata alla musica punkrock prima grazie ai miei fratelli maggiori che suonavano nelle band a loro volta. Ho sempre voluto essere cool come loro e così ho anche fondato una band! Nel corso degli anni le mie influenze musicali si sono spostate principalmente dalla musica punkrock a più musica rock e rock n roll, ma immagino che le radici siano ancora lì e puoi ascoltarle nelle nostre canzoni.
Lux: Prima influenza i Pennywise, powerchord su tutto il manico. Da allora ho approciato alla chitarra.
Qual è la vostra opinione sul rock n roll? Pensateche sia ancora vivo?
LUX: Sì, lo è e lo sarà sempre. Ci sono così tante buone band Rock'n'roll là fuori ; Airbourne, The Lazys, The Baboon Show, Danko Jones e così via...
Lukas/Julia: E ci sono anche alcune band rock'n'roll davvero fantastiche in Austria, come Revernd Backflash, GoGoGorillo, Vulvarine, Bloodsucking Zombies from Outerspace, DeeCracks e così via! andate a controllare!
Il nostro blog qui in Italia cerca di fare del rock n roll la musica più ascoltata, nei più giovani, hai un'opinione o un consiglio in merito?
Julia: Bè... penso che sia piuttosto difficile costringere i giovani ad ascoltare musica rock n roll. Ci sono sempre alcuni tipi di musica che sono popolari alla volta e quelli che sono più underground. Ma credo che a molti ragazzi piaccia se si imbattono per caso in una band rock n roll a un festival o altro. Quindi immagino che se le stazioni radio trasmettessero più musica rock, ad esempio, sarebbero anche più interessati al rock n roll...
Quali sono i momenti migliori del vostro concerto?
LUX: Il momento migliore è quando la folla impazzisce, canta insieme e inizia un mosh pit!
Ci piace essere energici sul palco ed è un piacere vedere molte facce sorridenti o urlanti.

Airbourne, AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine, The Hives, Reverend Backflash, Clutch, Danko Jones, solo per citarne alcuni.
Raccontateci del vostro primo concerto.
LUX: Il nostro primo spettacolo è stato in una sala prove gremita di fronte a 60 persone. Era sudato, rumoroso e adorabile. Ci siamo divertiti moltissimo.

LUX: Prendiamoci una birra!
Lukas: Possiamo alzare un po' il volume?
Julia: Andiamo!

Starting with your band foundation where, when and why?!
LUX: Igel vs. Shark was founded in 2009 at a show of another band (don’t remember which one :-D )

Lukas: I also think the band was founded because we all grew up, always listening to music and being surrounded by other people who played in bands. It was inevitable :-)

We all are brainwashed by advertisments and buy needless shit everyday. Like Zombies we’re staggering through Supermarket alleys in search of new products.
Eat, drink, fuck and die, repeat.
What is the mood about Rock in your country, it have a lot of following?
Julia: I think Rock is not that big in Austria at the moment. We feel like the kids are more into Indie and HipHop Music and so on, which is fine of course, but for a Rock ’n’ Roll band like ourselves it is kinda hard of course, to get some attention.
Tell us about your country and your origins as musicians.
Lukas: I started playing drums when I was ten because of bands like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and so on. I guess I started playing in bands because I was always
really impressed by the feeling you get, when you’re watching a really good live performance.
Julia: I got into Punkrock music first because of my older brothers who played in bands themselves. I always wanted to be as cool as they were and so I started a band as well:) Through the years my musical influences shifted from mainly punkrock music to more rock and rock n roll music but I guess the roots are still there and you can hear them in our songs .
Lux:
First Influence Pennywise, rocking powerchords all over the neck. Since then hooked on guitar.
How is your opinion about rock n roll? You think is still alive?
LUX: Yeah It is, and will Always be. There are so many good Rock’n’roll Bands out there.

Our blog here in Italy try to make rock n roll the most listened music, in the youngest people, do you have an opinion or advice for it?
Julia: Well…I think it’s kinda hard to force young people to listen to rock n roll music. There are always some kinds of music which are popular at a time and the ones which are more underground. But I feel like a lot of the kids do happen to like it, if they stumble across a rock n roll band by accident at a festival or whatever. So I guess if the radio stations would play more rock music for example, they would also be more into rock n roll…
What are the best moment in your concert?
LUX: Best Moment is when the crowd goes crazy, sings along and starts a mosh pit!
We love to be energetic on stage and it’s a pleasure to see a lot of smiling or Screaming faces.

Airbourne, AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine, The Hives, Reverend Backflash, Clutch, Danko Jones, just to name a few.
Tell us about your first concert.
LUX: Our first Show was in a packed rehearsal room in front of 60 people. It was sweaty, noisy, and lovely. We had an absolute blast.
