Partiamo dalla fondazione della band dove, quando e perché ?!
I Six Riddles sono nati ufficialmente nel 2017 in zona Como. Dopo aver provato una marea di componenti diversi, ci siamo finalmente stabilizzati con Andre alla chitarra, Sam alla batteria e Luke al basso e voce. Siamo partiti subito con l'idea di fare musica inedita… e dopo alcune canzoni abbiamo iniziato a trovare la nostra strada tra il rock, sleaze rock, hard rock e metal. Siamo arrivati quasi al punto di coniare un nostro genere… lo "Spac Rock"
Pensiamo che il vostro ultimo EP "Welcome to the Freak Show " sia fantastico e meriti di essere ascoltato, come il vostro album, com'è nato?
Welcome To The Freak Show fa riferimento ad uno spettacolo folle e divertente… il nostro spettacolo. Il titolo si ispira alle prime parole della nostra canzone omonima "Six Riddles" dove accogliamo l'ascoltatore prima di tuonare un bel grido al sapore di rock n roll. Per i Six Riddles questo EP non conta solo quattro tracce, ma rappresenta una vera e propria storia.. "Six Riddles" racconta il nostro mondo, la nostra passione… "Rock n Roll Tonight" è il nostro inno al rock n roll e chiude ogni live come ultima canzone, dove diamo tutto.. "All Right" è la nostra ballad, una canzone nel mezzo tra il malinconico e il romantico, con qualche bel colpo di coda. Infine "Amnesia", la quale è rimasta da parte per molto tempo… fino a quando abbiamo trovato un equilibrio per la nostra band. Questa è stata la prima canzone "diversa" che ha aperto le basi per interessanti novità musicali in arrivo nel 2023. Stay tuned!
Parlateci delle vostre origini come musicisti.
Partiamo da Luke, il nostro frontman. I Kiss lo hanno letteralmente trascinato nel mondo del rock con una delle loro migliori canzoni, "Rock And Roll All Night". È nato come chitarrista suonando in diversi gruppi. Ora canta e suona il basso… anche se punta a soffiare il posto di batterista a Sam
Andre ha approcciato la chitarra al liceo nel lontano 2009, insieme a suo fratello e una super capigliatura anni 80. La prima chitarra era una Clement nera. Conosceva già Sam e dopo un anno suonarono live all'ultimo giorno di scuola… un disastro preannunciato al sapore di rock n roll
Sam invece è arrivato alla batteria grazie al suo idolo Travis Barker. Partendo da un'impronta punk, ha approcciato anche rock, hard rock e metal. La sua passione innata è lanciare e frantumare più bacchette possibili
Qual è la vostra opinione sul rock n roll? Pensate che sia ancora vivo?
Ci sono tante persone che pensano che il rock sia morto e tante altre che cadono in scuse banali per dire il contrario. Se si guarda il mercato, c'è un mucchio di talento con uno scarso interesse finanziario. Lo stesso Gene Simmons dei Kiss ha ammesso che il rock è morto proprio perché il modello di business non funziona. Sembra che il rock attrae pazzi con la voglia di dimostrare la loro passione, un desiderio di rivoluzione e non di soldi. Tuttavia, morto o no, qualcosa resta sempre in agguato… pensiamo al 2021 con i Måneskin.
Il mondo cambia e devi stare al passo, ma il rock alla fine sembra esser sempre lì. Noi facciamo qualcosa che ci piace, prima di ogni altra cosa. Che il rock sia morto o meno, alla fine, sono affari suoi.
Il nostro blog cerca di fare del rock n roll la musica più ascoltata dai giovani, hai un'opinione o un consiglio?
C'è bisogno di andare ai concerti e sostenere le giovani rock band. L'apertura verso gruppi emergenti con tanta passione è la chiave. Le nuove generazioni troveranno il modo di prender spunto dal vecchio e rivoluzionarlo
Qual è stato il miglior vostro concerto?
Qualche mese fa. Durante la nostra ultima canzone, qualcuno dal pubblico iniziò a cantare con noi il ritornello di "Rock n Roll Tonight"… lì capisci che qualcosa hai lasciato e sei felice

Le nostre influenze musicali includono Guns N Roses, Motley Crue, Kiss, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Santa Cruz, Rise Against, Cruel Intentions e gruppi italiani come Hell in the Club, Speed Stroke

Abbiamo partecipato tra il 2018 e 2019 a qualche contest. Diciamo che la prima volta che abbiamo vinto ad una serata di una competizione tra band eravamo parecchio increduli

Let's start from the founding of the band where, when and why ?!
The Six Riddles were officially born in 2017 in the Como area. After trying a ton of different components, we finally settled on Andre on guitar, Sam on drums, and Luke on bass and vocals. We immediately started with the idea of making new music… and after a few songs we started to find our way between rock, sleaze rock, hard rock and metal. We have almost reached the point of coining our own genre… the "Spac Rock"
We think your latest EP "Welcome to the Freak Show " is fantastic and deserves to be heard, like your album, how did it come about?
Welcome To The Freak Show refers to a crazy and funny show… our show. The title is inspired by the first words of our homonymous song "Six Riddles" where we welcome the listener before thundering a good cry with a rock n roll flavour. For Six Riddles this EP does not only have four tracks, but represents a real story.. "Six Riddles" tells our world, our passion… "Rock n Roll Tonight" is our hymn to rock n roll and closes every live as last song, where we give everything.. "All Right" is our ballad, a song in the middle between melancholic and romantic, with some nice backlash. Finally "Amnesia", which has been on the sidelines for a long time…until we found a balance for our band. This was the first "different" song that paved the way for interesting musical news coming in 2023. Stay tuned!
Tell us about your origins as musicians.
Let's start with Luke, our frontman. Kiss literally dragged him into the world of rock with one of their best songs, "Rock And Roll All Night". He was born as a guitarist playing in various bands. Now he sings and plays bass… even if he aims to steal the drummer job from Sam
Andre approached the guitar in high school back in 2009, together with his brother and a super 80's hair. His first guitar was a black Clement. He already knew Sam and after a year they played live on the last day of school… a disaster foretold with a rock n roll flavor
Sam instead got on drums thanks to his idol Travis Barker. Starting from a punk imprint, he has also approached rock, hard rock and metal. His innate passion is to throw and shatter as many wands as possible
What is your opinion on rock n roll? Do you think he's still alive?
There are many people who think that rock is dead and many others who fall into trivial excuses to say otherwise. If you look at the market, there's a lot of talent with little financial interest. Gene Simmons of Kiss himself admitted that rock is dead precisely because the business model doesn't work. It seems that rock attracts crazies with a desire to demonstrate their passion, a desire for revolution and not for money. However, dead or not, something is always lurking… let's think about 2021 with the Måneskin.
The world changes and you have to keep up, but rock always seems to be there in the end. We do something we like, before anything else. Whether or not rock is dead, in the end, is its business.
Our blog tries to make rock n roll the music most listened to by young people, do you have an opinion or advice?
There is a need to go to concerts and support young rock bands. Openness to emerging groups with a lot of passion is the key. The new generations will find a way to take inspiration from the old and revolutionize it
What was your best concert?
A few months ago. During our last song, someone from the audience started to sing with us the chorus of "Rock n Roll Tonight"… there you understand that something you have left and you are happy

We participated in some contests between 2018 and 2019. Let's say that the first time we won an evening of a band competition we were quite incredulous
